Description We are excited to partner with a prestigious East Bay Area law firm to source a Healthcare Transactional Associate Attorney to join their team on a contract to hire basis. This role is ideal for a junior attorney with a passion for healthcare law and transactional matters, looking to grow and develop their career in a dynamic legal environment.Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing healthcare transactional matters, including provider and health plan mergers and acquisitions, affiliations, joint venture transactions, and private equity deals.
Support senior attorneys in advising clients on health industry contracting, state licensure, and corporate governance.
Conduct legal research and analysis to support transactional activities.
Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents and agreements.
Collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders to develop creative solutions and meet client needs.
Requirements
Qualifications:
1-3 years of healthcare transactional experience, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and joint ventures for healthcare stakeholders.
Familiarity with healthcare transactional matters, including provider and health plan mergers and acquisitions, affiliations, joint venture transactions, and private equity deals.
Basic understanding of health industry contracting, state licensure, and corporate governance is preferred.
Strong interest in and enthusiasm for healthcare issues and trends and a developing healthcare regulatory background.
California Bar membership in good standing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and good legal research and analytical skills.
Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively.
