Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee client's accounting department's daily operations. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a solid understanding of accounting principles, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving efficiency and accuracy within a finance team.

Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions.

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies.

Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Lead the month-end and year-end close process, including review and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, accruals, and journal entries.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting.

Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to accounting staff to foster professional development and ensure performance goals are met.

Stay current with accounting standards, industry trends, and best practices to recommend process improvements and streamline operations.

Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned by senior management.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.

Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
