Location: Carmel Bakery, Ocean Avenue between Dolores and Lincoln Street.
Type: Full-Time/Part-Time
About Us: Carmel Bakery opened in 1899, is a beloved bakery known for our fresh, artisanal baked goods made with the highest quality ingredients. We pride ourselves on our creativity, attention to detail, and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread, and other pastries
Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
Monitor stocks for baking ingredients and make appropriate orders within budget
Maintain a clean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as a baker or pastry chef
Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders, and dough sheeters
Understanding of food safety practices and baking techniques
Creativity and willingness to experiment with new flavors and designs
Excellent time-management skills and ability to work early mornings and weekends
Strong communication skills and team spirit
