Cannabis Retail Associate
Long time cannabis dispensary on the Mendocino Coast looking for someone to join our team. This role requires a passion for cannabis, strong communication skills, exceptional customer service and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. 24+/- hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
Greet customers warmly and provide a welcoming atmosphere.
Assist customers in understanding different cannabis products, their effects, and proper usage.
Answer questions and provide detailed information to help customers make informed purchasing decisions, both recreational and medicinal.
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Sales and Transactions
Process sales transactions efficiently and accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Ensure compliance with all state and local laws regarding cannabis sales.
Recommend additional products to enhance the customer’s experience.
Maintain knowledge of current promotions and apply discounts as necessary.
Product Knowledge
Stay informed about the latest cannabis products, trends, research and innovations.
Educate customers on the benefits and potential side effects of different cannabis strains and products.
Inventory Management
Assist in receiving and stocking inventory.
Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are accurate and up-to-date.
Identify and report any inventory discrepancies or issues.
Store Maintenance
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized retail environment.
Ensure that displays are visually appealing and stocked with current products.
Follow all safety protocols to ensure the well-being of customers and staff.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of retail or customer service experience.
Knowledge of cannabis products and their uses in both recreational and medicinal modalities
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Previous experience in a cannabis retail environment desirable but not required
