Job Title: Logistics Yard Supervisor
Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Yard Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation between the office and Yard Drivers. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask effectively, and good communication skills.
Responsibilities and Duties
As our Logistics Yard Supervisor, we need you on the front line and demand your commitment to these tasks:
● Monitor drivers working hours
● Maintains in person and/or phone contact with dispatchers, drivers, and vendors
● Oversee the coordination and routing of Containers, trailers or chassis
● Directs routing activities and tracks transportation vehicles
● Communicate with other on-site staff or dispatcher/drivers/Site Mangers as needed
● Directs all maintenance, repair, and replacement or parts runs of equipment or vehicles
● Ensures compliance with administrative policies, safety rules and procedures for drivers and of yard
● Perform other related duties as assigned
● Tentative Shift 7AM-6PM Monday-Friday in Yard/office
Requirements
● 2/3+ years of experience in the truck industry and truck yard
● Experience in basic auto mechanics and heavy vehicles mechanics (preferred)
● Knowledge of truck related equipment and other items involved (chassis, Trailers and containers)
● Excellent persuasion, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
● Strong communication and presentation skills
● Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
● Valid driver license class C, CDL is a plus
● Basic computer knowledge and email usage (excel, word, one drive and trinium MC3)
