Position Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: CANOGA PARK
Schedule: Full-Time, 6 Days/Week (Fridays Off)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and solutions-oriented person to support our logistics operations. This individual will be the main point of contact for all driver support, manage route assignments, onboard new drivers, troubleshoot on-road issues, ensure route closure compliance, and assist with final mile deliveries when necessary. This is a hands-on role requiring strong communication skills, scheduling experience, and flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations & Driver Support
Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers during operating hours.
Provide real-time support for on-road issues (e.g., vehicle problems, address discrepancies, customer complaints).
Monitor and confirm route closures in the system at the end of each shift.
Track route progress and escalate delivery delays or non-compliance.
Route Assignment & Scheduling
Assign daily delivery routes based on driver availability and route capacity.
Coordinate morning check-in process, ensuring all drivers are equipped and dispatched on time.
Update and maintain driver schedules, including handling call-outs and rescheduling as needed.
Communicate with warehouse and loading teams to ensure dispatch readiness.
Onboarding & Training
Assist with onboarding and orientation for new drivers.
Train new drivers on delivery app usage, route protocols, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations.
Maintain driver records and ensure compliance with company policies.
Package Handling & Emergency Delivery Support
Step in to deliver packages as needed when there is a shortage of drivers or failed deliveries.
Load/unload packages, scan, and ensure safe and timely delivery when acting in this capacity.
Communication & Reporting
Relay urgent updates or escalations to the Operations Manager.
Maintain a daily shift report noting incidents, delays, and driver performance issues.
Participate in weekly operations meetings to share feedback and insights from the field.
System & Compliance Management
Use dispatch software to assign, monitor, and close routes accurately.
Ensure accurate data entry and documentation for packages, route status, and delivery metrics.
Ensure drivers follow safety standards and operational protocols
Qualifications:
Prior experience in dispatch, logistics, or delivery operations required
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Tech-savvy – able to use routing software, GPS, mobile apps, spreadsheets, etc.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver’s license required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with package handling when necessary.
Flexible and reliable – must be available 6 days/week (Fridays off), including weekends and early mornings.
