DISASTER RECOVERY ANALYST IN LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA
Sierra Cybernetics is seeking a Disaster Recovery Analyst to work for us supporting our Port of Long Beach client.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery processes and business continuity procedures for re-establishing servers, databases, and operating systems in the event of disruptions, analyzing disaster simulations, and conducting audits.
You should have a thorough understanding of replication tools such as VMWare and Veeam, backup processes using Veeam software, and business applications' relationships to web, database, and application servers across Dev, Stage, and Prod environments.
You will collaborate with the Network Operation Center (NOC), Security Operation Center (SOC), Service Desk (SD), and Business Applications (BA) teams, particularly the Risk Management Division.
The position is expected to be approximately 6 - 12 months or more with the potential to become a permanent employee.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain DR strategy plans across the enterprise.
Manage implementation and execution of the DR strategy.
Create and maintain the DR incident management plan.
Manage key performance indicators (RTO and RPO) and dashboards.
Monitor compliance with policy, regulatory, and legal requirements.
Establish training programs for employees on best practices.
Test critical business applications iteratively.
Skills:
Experience in developing and maintaining organization-wide disaster recovery strategies and incident management practices.
5 years of recent experience in: Disaster Recovery, developing, maintaining and testing recovery plans.
3 years’ experience of data and voice telecommunications to guide the preparation of related recovery procedures.
3 years’ experience of VMWare SRM, Veeam Disaster Recovery Orchestrator (DRO), and Veeam backup.
3 years’ experience of Data center infrastructure development and management experience
3 years’ experience of Backup, recovery, storage systems and IT security management
Education and Experience:
Four-year college degree in computer science, business information systems, or related field. Additional experience may be substituted for education.
Desirable Certifications:
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) foundational certification
CBCP Certification
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
