Furniture Sales Position
Hotel Surplus Outlet is seeking an experienced sales and customer service associate to join our team. The position is at our retail/resale furniture outlet in Lake Balboa, where we sell an eclectic mix of hotel goods, new furniture and home staging goods.
We prefer a candidate with some retail & customer service experience. An interest or background in furniture, design or decor could be a benefit too. The position only requires daytime shifts, but would require weekend hours between 10am and 4pm.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
-Greet and engage customers in a warm and professional manner, establishing a positive and lasting impression.
-Engage with customers to provide in-depth product knowledge in a non-commissioned environment.
-Assist customers through our purchase process.
-Collaborate with team to maintain the cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal of the store.
-Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring a seamless purchasing experience for our customers.
-Strong Customer Service orientation, with a genuine desire to help customers to ensure Customer Satisfaction.
-Assist with pickups, as well as occasionally helping move furniture around the showroom.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a high school diploma.
Experienced in customer service or retail sales preferred.
Basic computer skills & ability to use online data base and resources for pricing and details
Self-Motivated, hardworking, detail-oriented team player.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and relationships with customers.
Legible handwriting, with ability to calculate sale tax and an ability to multitask.
Ability to maneuver effectively around sales floor and stock storage areas.
Must be able to lift 25LB.
COMPENSATION:
Starting rate at $18.50/hour, but rate is open to adjustment based on experience and qualifications.
This would initially be about 25 hours a week but could grow into additional hours
Availability to work on Saturdays & Sundays between 10am and 4pm is a requirement
