We are looking for a highly organized Safety/compliance supervisor with experience in the Moving industry to manage and coordinate our instate and interstate operations. The position will work directly with Local and long-distance dispatch team.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- It will be in charge of handling and updating safety and compliance files, auditing Drivers and ensuring that the
company is in full compliance with DOT regulations
- Handling accidents and all insurance matters
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, with the ability to identify and act upon safety improvement opportunities.
- Apply for permits and certifications for the company.
- Reviews reporting of all vehicles, passenger and employee accidents/incidents for determination of cause and
preventability and identifying potential trends.
- Process and manage all driver accident claims with our insurance carrier and assigned adjusters.
- Coordinate and request Certificate of Insurances with our insurance carrier.
- Maintain roadside inspections and citations including overweight, traffic violations, etc.
- Maintains the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality regarding company information.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, establish priorities, and accomplish goals and objectives.
- Effective leader and strong negotiator with safety professionals, regulatory, and/or industry organizations
- Must possess excellent communication skills written and verbal.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred
- knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
