Summary:
Working in a manufacturing environment the Material Handler is responsible for unloading/loading trucks, labeling and receiving material into inventory, maintaining accurate inventory values though cycle counts, issuing inventory to the production floor work centers, weighing and logging material usage on work orders, helping with packaging & palletizing orders for shipment, keeping indoor & outdoor areas clean, coordinating shipments with carriers, verifying proper information on all paperwork and products.
Position Duties
o Work within an ISO9001 Quality Management certified system.
o Assist coworkers as needed.
o Work from written and verbal instructions, procedures.
o Work in a safe manner at all times following all safety policies and procedures.
o Maintain a clean and safe work area inside & outside warehouse.
o Take instructions from supervisor.
o Perform other duties as required or directed.
Qualifications
o Must be able to operate Gas & Electric Forklifts safely.
o Ability to use a pallet jack.
o Able to use banding/strapping equipment, hand shrink wrap pallets, tape gun, take product weights.
o Attention to detail with legible writing, accurate basic math skills
o Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area.
o Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
o Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling over over 50#, along with squatting, stooping, and bending is required.
o Must be able to work independently.
o Positive attitude.
o Bilingual (Spanish/English)
First Shift(7am-3:30p) Overtime as needed
