Kelly is seeking a dynamic and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Advanced Materials group located in Glendale, Los Angeles, California. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and responding to emergency machine breakdowns. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a diverse team.Job Specifications:- Job Type: Full-time- Location: Glendale, Los Angeles, California- Pay Rate: $28- Shift: Swing shift (10:00 AM - 6:30 PM)Roles and Responsibilities:- Repair and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, power tools, and production machines.- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency response duties.- Order parts and ensure parts availability.- Read drawings, prints, and instruction manuals to determine proper steps for equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.- Work collaboratively with associates from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.- Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment.- Make repairs, replacements, adjustments, inspections, and troubleshoot electrical equipment up to 480 volts.- Work with PLCs, HMI, electrical equipment, piping systems, plant machinery, and plant equipment (highly desired).- Operate various conventional power tools.- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.- Install new equipment.- Operate forklifts, aerial boom lifts, and scissors lifts.- Respond to emergency machine breakdowns in a timely manner.- Repair electrical equipment and run conduit.- Layout jobs in compliance with NEC and complete bill of material.- Use various electrical meters as required for specific jobs.- Participate in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives and complete required training programs.- Proficiency in Excel spreadsheet and Word document; trainable in other software such as Maintenance Management System.- Fall under a structured tier system as a new Maintenance Technician.Qualifications & Skills:- Education: High School Diploma or GED.- Experience: 5+ years of electrical-related experience in a manufacturing facility.- Electrician License or equivalent experience as a journeyman electrician.- Knowledge of PLCs, electrical systems up to 480 volts, electrical equipment, piping systems, plant machinery, and plant equipment.- Good electrical and minor mechanical skills to perform repairs and installations.- Understanding of the NEC with respect to Industrial Applications and ability to apply it to ensure facility compliance with code requirements.- Good working knowledge of various control systems on equipment and HVAC Systems.Opportunities:- Join a dynamic and collaborative team in the Advanced Materials group.- Work in a diverse and inclusive environment.- Gain experience in repairing and maintaining advanced equipment.- Opportunity for growth and advancement within the structured tier system.To apply submit your [email protected]
