Our Los Angeles fashion design studio is seeking a fashion crafts-person with a good handle on basic patterning techniques, hand sewing and detailed hand stitching, etc. We are looking for someone who is capable of using hand tools (awls, needles, scissors, shears, cutters, pliers, drills, etc) and has good attention to detail. Details are everything. Sewing machine experience is a plus.
We handle a wide variety of jobs from large-scale sculptural projects/installations to smaller art objects to detailed fine garments as well as projects for the Entertainment and Fashion Industries; needless to say the studio experience supports an exciting and creative atmosphere.
Candidate chosen will be working with and learning from our trained fashion experts, honing their skills fabricating luxury items for the fashion industry and it's clients.
We are looking to teach someone to work with a unique material which is known in the industry as “metal mesh.” It is an exciting opportunity for someone with the aptitude.
Looking for someone with immediate availability that will commit to at least part time to start.
Compensation DOE. $25 during training period. (6 months)
Must have a valid driver’s license and your own transportation.
