Plaintiffs’ personal injury law firm is looking for a full-time associate attorney to join the team. The law firm is a full-service, plaintiffs’ civil litigation firm, handling cases from pre-litigation through trial. We are a boutique firm focusing on personal injury and lemon law matters. Prior personal injury or civil litigation experience is not required, but is beneficial. A genuine interest in civil litigation, and an interest in the personal injury field, are more important than experience.
The associate position will handle all aspects of litigation, from A through Z. Duties will include, but not be limited to: drafting and filing complaints; drafting and responding to discovery; drafting correspondence; meeting-and-conferring with opposing counsel on discovery, subpoenas, etc.; drafting law and motion; taking and defending depositions; preparing trial documents, including MILs, exhibit binders, and joint trial documents. The job will encompass all of the practical, day-to-day work that comes along with being an attorney in a full-service, dynamic litigation practice.
The ideal candidate is internally driven, able to take direction and criticism well, and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Class rank and participation in various programs are not as important as a passion for helping people and a genuine desire to learn. An inquisitive mind is a plus. We are looking for talented people with a desire to reach their potential as individuals and as litigators.
