Job Summary:

Regenerative & Sports Medicine is a busy medical practice that has an immediate need for an organized, reliable patient coordinator or medical assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for fulfilling a myriad of administrative duties in the front office including answering the phones, checking voicemail, billing support, scheduling, patient communication, prescription refill, customer service, and taking initiative. We're looking for a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working directly with people. Medical experience is preferred but is not required. We do not want someone to work for us, we want someone to work with us. This is an in-office position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communicating with patients, providers, and team members within the organization.

Maintain patient and employee privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Answer multi-line phone system and take appointments or direct calls to the appropriate department.

Answer high volume of incoming calls and at times make outgoing calls.

Check voicemails and return patient calls.

Educate prospective patient about how we partner with them to optimize their health and quality of life.

Maintain email communication with patients, vendors, and co-workers daily.

Organize and maintain cleanliness of working areas, supplies, and equipment.

Greet patients when they arrive at the office and provide them with any necessary paperwork or other information.

Provide customer service, apply problem solving skills to client complaints, and provide follow up to ensure satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience working for a healthcare practice or hospital (preferred but not required).

High School Diploma (Associates degree in the medical field preferred but not required).

Ability to execute active listening and problem-solving skills to provide exceptional customer service.

Excellent inter-personal relationship skills and the ability to work with individuals of all levels.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills including phone and e-mail etiquette.

Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Someone who takes initiative and asks questions if they are unsure of the answer or how to complete an assigned task.

MUST HAVE:

An outgoing personality and enjoy helping people.

Ability to adapt, learn, educate prospective patients, and train in specialized software programs as needed.

Excellent attention to detail.
