A new Assisted Living facility is looking for a Housekeeper to support the facility and its team by enhancing customer experience of residents and families in keeping the facility and its amenities in clean, hygienic and orderly condition in accordance with federal, state and local policies and standards.
Responsibilities:
Create daily job lists and record all serviced living areas. Perform basic cleaning of bathroom fixtures and floors. Change residents’ bedding and linens each week or more frequently as needed.
Clean and tidy all areas to the standard cleanliness within time limits, ensuring that all areas are appropriate for visitors and residents seven days a week.
Assist with resident laundry services and remove any waste/trash in all areas.
Maintain a clean facility in all common areas, including main entry, alternative entries, reception area, corridors, bathrooms, activity rooms, and the dining room. This consists of vacuuming carpets, dusting, washing windows, straightening furniture.
Maintain cleaning and facility equipment in good condition.
Check stocking levels of all consumables. Report on any shortages, damages or security issues
Deliver excellent customer service by handling reasonable guests complaints/requests and inform others when required.
Comply with health and safety regulation and act in line with company policies and licensing laws.
Reports any observation on residents’ unusual changes in behavior (mental/physical).
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED required.
One (1) year job related experience.
Understanding of infection control procedures.
Able to multi-task and manage stress
Understands and embraces the assisted living philosophy.
Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours, and also available for our customers at peak service delivery days and times.
Good and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Mandated Reporter of any suspected elderly abuse, neglect and/or harassment (e.g., physical, mental, sexual, etc.).
