As one of the first chefs on the platform, Chef Chris Ratel has become a staple of the service, executing high volumes at a high quality. Established in New York, Los Angeles, Austin, and Chicago, our team is growing and we want you to be a part of it! With expansion opportunities to other markets in Seattle, Miami, Atlanta, and soon internationally.
Job Summary:
Team Ratel executes approximately 10,000+/- meals per week. Our standard is to produce the highest quality food to those consumers at a reasonable pace. Each day will require prepping, cooking, and plating in order to fulfill orders in a timely manner. Chefs will learn all aspects of this process in order to have a full understanding of the production.
Job Requirements:
Have strong knife skills
Have a basic understanding of cooking techniques
Understand how to scale food, we have tools to help with this
Work well in a team environment
Willing to work in a fast-paced environment
Have food handlers certification
Bilingual preferred but not mandatory
Physical Requirements :
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, approximately 8+/- hours.
Must be able to walk for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 30 pounds.
Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time.
Must be able to work in differing environments; i.e., cold freezers, hot prep areas, outside areas.
Pay & Benefits :
Pay is distributed weekly
Salary options after 3 month evaluation
Healthcare options will be available soon
40 hours Sick Time
PTO after 6 months
