The Courtyard Kitchen has been around for 11 years, a popular Westside neighborhood eatery that is opening a bar this Spring, doubling in size and changing in concept ones again. We are looking for an Assistant Manager to run our new bar and dinner program 4-5 nights a week.
Assistant Manager Job Description:
We are searching for a reliable Assistant Manager for Evening Shifts starting at 3pm.
To be successful in this position you would need to posses a love for a tight, top notch dinner service, passion for wine, for beautiful food, take pride in enforcing service, cleanliness standards. We are looking for someone for the long term. Ownership percentage is an option for the future for the right candidate.
Assistant Manager Responsibilities Include:
-Close the restaurant properly
-Fantastic Communication skills with Owners / shift recap etc.
-Ability to be the voice and presence of our restaurant standards without Owners present.
-Train and mentor new staff members
-Coordinate private dinners, table sections, think of everything.
-Coordinate / Regulate kitchen output, timeliness or orders / servers.
-Resolve customer questions and complaints professionally
-Troubleshoot POS issues, equipment failure issues, staff missing issues
-Cash register balancing at the end of every shift
-Manage FLOW of the front of House, reservations, parties, staff breaks etc.
-Delegate / Enforce Sidework duties, Cleaning Schedule
-Order Wine/FOH goods
-Help Develop guest relations / retain
-Post on social media sometimes.
Assistant Restaurant Manager Requirements:
-High school diploma or GED
-3 years minimum previous management experience a MUST
-5 + years total restaurant experience a MUST
-Strong leadership skills with the capacity for development
-Ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner
-Innovative and trustworthy
-Ability to remain impartial during conflict
-Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Compensation:
70-75K to start
