The Planning and Controlling (“P&C”) Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the Sr Manager, Plasma Controlling in the ongoing planning, analysis, management reporting, and cost controlling of North America operations. The Senior Financial Analyst will primarily be responsible for assisting with the planning, development, and execution of the multiple planning cycles (periodic forecasts & budgets), including identifying opportunities for business and operations process improvements, conducting in-depth analysis of account expenditures, strategic planning, and business unit oversight & Support.
Process and system expert who drives the continuous improvement, implementation and general maintenance of the planning systems and forward-looking process that support management decisions.
Acts as liaison between the Business Unit Analysts and the Holding team to support and promote the development and dissemination of best practices in relevant areas
Participate in special projects, including integrations, IT/SAP projects, and process improvement initiatives
An individual contributor, the Senior Financial Analyst is required to have outstanding system proficiency, very strong analytical skills and attention to detail, strong interpersonal and leadership skills in order to autonomously interact with executives in the Senior Leadership Team and participate in cross divisional / functional teams.
Financial Planning Processes :
Coordinate, under the direction of her/his Supervisor, the North America P&C processes including reporting, forecasts, and annual budgets
Consolidate and prepare management reporting packages that track and monitor ongoing business performance
Assure accurate and timely information in order to submit accruals as required by the month end closing process for North America Region
Prepare financial analysis for senior management including regular and ad hoc requests; e.g. functional deep dives, inclusive of analysis and recommendations, productivity initiatives
Identify opportunity to further improve the effectiveness and efficiency in financial planning process
Support process improvement projects to drive functional excellence

BS in Finance (MBA preferred)
Minimum 5 years of finance experience. Pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience preferred.
5+ years of strong experience in financial analysis and financial planning (forecasts/budgeting)
ERP software experience (preferably SAP, BI)
Experience developing and using Excel-based models and conducting quantitative analysis (NPV, IRR)
Solid analytical and quantitative skills, and ability to design analysis plans using multiple internal and external data sources
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, navigate multiple projects, grasp new concepts, and problem solve
Strong interpersonal and team skill
Genuine interest to deeply understand the business needs and provide solutions to opportunities, in line with Finance requirements
Proficient at demonstrating technical and analytical skills, professional creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought
Designs and enhances processes where possible. Works with management to ensure all processes are properly documented and compliant with internal and external requirements. Acts as Finance subject matter expert on projects with other functions.
The pay range for the Sr. Financial Analyst role based in Los Angeles, CA, is $100,944.60 - $151,115.75 per year. Additionally, the position is eligible to participate in up to 8% of the company bonus pool.
