We are leaders in plasma-derived medicines and transfusion medicine and develop, produce and market innovative medicines, solutions and services in more than 110 countries and regions.POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for transporting, logging and distributing production samples to different Quality Control (QC) laboratories for testing, packaging and shipping samples for outside lab testing.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Transport samples from the manufacturing plant to Quality Control (QC) Labs using a small

motorized vehicle (golf cart).

Pick up and deliver QC documentation.

Log samples into LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).

Distribute the samples to QC laboratories for testing and make entries on the sample tracking

forms and sample log forms in each lab.

Package and schedule delivery of samples to contract laboratories for testing.

Assist in other duties that are deemed necessary by the supervisor, such as filing and archiving

documents.

Strict adherence to procedures and practices according to FDA regulations.

Strong emphasis on documentation according to FDA regulations.

Adhere to departmental corporate safety policies.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS & EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree, applicable certification, and/or military

veterans preferred.

Related sample processing experience in a pharmaceutical, GMP, or FDA regulated testing

laboratory is preferred.

Requires a basic understanding of laboratory sample management and administrative support.

Experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) is preferred.

Must have valid driver’s license.

Must be proactive, results oriented, and have strong attention to detail.

Self-starter with strong work ethic and the ability to exercise good judgment.

Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet targeted deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with personnel at all levels in a team

environment.

Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Must be flexible with working hours / shifts in order to accommodate the 24 hour, 7 day plant operation.

The estimated pay scale for the Sample Processing Associate role based in Los Angeles, CA, is $20.00 - $21.50 per hour. Additionally, the position is eligible to participate in up to 5% of the company bonus pool.
