Description Robert Half Legal has partnered with an international law firm in search for a permanent litigation paralegal with experience specifically in subrogation or insurance claims. The firm is bringing on a large amount of claim files from a particular client and they need to staff up to handle this work across the country. They have an opening in their Los Angeles or San Diego office currently. The role would be 3 days in office and 2 days remote. Responsibilities include:
Analyze and summarize damages
Draft complaints, motions to compel and other discovery motions
Propound and respond to discovery
Case file management (create, organize, track and maintain files; monitor calendars and meeting deadlines; document actions; input information into file database and case management software).
Document management including but not limited to review of documents, bates labeling, organization of documents and compiling information for discovery responses/pleadings/motions.
Coordinate scene examinations, destructive testing and depositions
Review financial and business records and prepare chronologies
Preparing FOIA requests
Witness investigation
Trial and deposition preparation
E-filing in both state and federal court
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or a paralegal certificate is required
Experience in subrogation or insurance claims
Ability to work in Los Angeles or San Diego 3 times per week
Motivation to work in a fast paced environment
