Job Title: After-School Music Instructor (Instrumental)
Location: South Bay Area, Redondo, Torrance, Manhattan, Hermosa, Palos Verdes
Program Overview:
We are an after-school music program dedicated to inspiring and educating children in the South Bay. We provide a positive, engaging, and supportive environment for young learners to develop their musical skills and a love for music. We are currently seeking talented musicians to teach weekly instrumental classes to children.
Position Details:
Class Duration: 1 hour per week
Schedule: Weekly, with a minimum 3-month commitment (ideally for the full school year)
Age Group: Children (Grades K–8)
Instruments Needed: Violin, Piano, Voice, Cello, Guitar, Ukulele
Compensation: Hourly
Location: South Bay Schools (tbd)
Responsibilities:
Teach 1-hour group classes weekly for children in a fun and supportive environment
Be reliable and consistently on time to all scheduled classes
Communicate in a timely and professional manner with program organizers
Foster a positive, creative, and respectful classroom atmosphere
Qualifications:
Experience teaching music, ideally to children or beginner-level students
Proficiency in the instrument(s) being taught
Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with kids
Ability to commit to a weekly schedule for at least 3 months (longer commitments preferred)

All instructors are required to:
Complete fingerprinting and background checks with the California Department of Justice
Attend a sexual harassment prevention training session prior to teaching on any school campus
