At Tiny Town, we focus on nurturing children’s physical, social-emotional, and intellectual development while preparing them for their next big step: preschool! We provide care for children aged 2 months to 5 years, so please be comfortable in supporting all ages we have stated.

Qualifications:
At least 20 years of age
High school diploma or GED REQUIRED
Child Development Background/Education highly preferred
Knowledge of child development theory and experience with developmental appropriate practices
A love for children and their development & learning!
Valid CA ID/Driver's License
Pass required state and company background checks (LiveScan Clearance)
Proof of immunizations: TDAP, MMR, Flu Vaccine
Personal Phone
CPR and First Aid Certification (required or willing to obtain).
Skills & Traits:
Familiarity with different developmental stages (infants, toddlers, preschoolers).
Patience, empathy, and the ability to stay calm in challenging situations.
Reliability & Punctuality is a must
Passionate about early childhood development and education.
Warm, approachable, and energetic personality.
BONUS: Bilingual or multilingual skills.
BONUS: Experience working with children with diverse abilities or special needs.
Responsibilities:
Create and lead activities based on your observations of the children's interests and needs. Monthly themes are already created but creativity and ideas are always welcome!
Keep the classroom safe and clean by following important procedures and guidelines.
Great team player that likes to collaborate on creative lesson plans
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with children and parents
Provide positive, fun and learning environment for children
Supervising the children to ensure their health and safety and compliance with all safety practices and policies
Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children
Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children
Creating healthy & balanced meals & snacks for all children
Assist in supervising daily activities, meal times, community walks, and outings
Ability to communicate with parents about Childs development and behavior
Monday - Friday work Schedule. 8am - 6pm. Weekends off.
There will be a PAID trial period of 2-3 weeks to give both parties a chance to see if it’s a good fit.
