We are looking for 4 separate positions.
Experienced Assurance Staff: 1-2 years experience in public accounting
Assurance Senior: 2-5 years experience in public accounting
Assurance Manager: 5+ years experience, CPA required
Assurance Senior Manager: 8+ years experience, CPA Required
SUMMARY FOR EXPERIENCED ASSURANCE STAFF
As an Experienced Assurance Staff, you will conduct the field work on audit assignments and will be responsible for planning, directing and completing the audit assignment. Our clients Assurance practice provides their clients with valuable insight regarding managing risk
and improving business performance. Our client assists their clients with improving their overall financial reporting processes. Their goal is to help their clients better understand their business by keeping them regularly informed about their financial progress and by discussing accounting, financial, and regulatory developments that may impact their business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrate an understanding of professional standards and the importance of regulatory responsibilities. Ability to apply
basic areas of GAAP and GAAS, as necessary, and to research technical issues that arise during the course of audit
engagements
Ability to prepare accurate supporting work paper documentation, including validating and testing substantive
support and analytical reviews of account balances
Assist Assurance Seniors in preparing risk assessments, audit programs and evaluating the client’s internal control structure
Preparing financial statements with disclosures for management review
Coaches new staff by providing candid and constructive verbal feedback
Demonstrates behaviors such as teamwork, knowledge sharing and maintaining relationships
An Experienced Assurance Staff will also be involved in reviews, compilations and agreed-upon procedure engagements
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
1-2 years of prior experience in public accounting
CPA certification preferred; eligible to sit for the CPA exams upon starting employment required and actively pursuing completion of the exams required
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, especially Excel)
QuickBooks and ProSystems experience is a plus
High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management
Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently and within a group environment
Capable of working in a demanding, deadline driven environment with a focus on the details and accuracy
Positive attitude and excitement to learn
Ability to travel to client locations, which may include occasional overnight stays
Ability to work overtime, as needed
Salary: $85,000 - $100,000
SUMMARY FOR ASSURANCE SENIOR
As an Assurance Senior, you will be primarily responsible for coordinating and conducting the field work on audit assignments and for planning, directing and completing the audit assignment. You will be responsible for in-the-field training of Assurance Staff, assigning tasks, setting time budgets, and overseeing Assurance Staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrate an understanding of professional standards and the importance of regulatory responsibilities. Ability to apply all areas of GAAP and GAAS, as necessary, and to research technical issues that arise during the course of audit engagements and reach sound conclusions
Preparing accurate and complete work paper documentation with minimal need for management intervention and corrections, including validating and testing substantive support and analytical reviews of account balances
Ability to oversee staff on pre-audit planning and field work for engagements, including risk assessment, preparation of audit programs and the evaluation and testing of internal controls and the client’s operating procedures, preparation of audit programs
Manage the client and assigned Assurance Staff to accommodate deadlines within budgeted timeframes
Prepare all necessary financial statements and related disclosures and reportable conditions letters, with an eye on quality, thoroughness and accuracy
Provide timely, high quality, client service that meets or exceeds client expectations
Develop an understanding of client’s business
Keep lines of communication open with staff, superiors, and clients. Serve as a first point of contact for basic client questions.
Keep abreast of the latest developments and ensure professional development through ongoing education. Provide formal and informal training presentations to Assurance department personnel.
Anticipate and address client concerns and escalating problems to Managers and Partners as they arise
An Assurance Senior will also be involved in overseeing staff and in-charging reviews, compilations and agreed-upon procedure engagements
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
2-5 years of prior experience in public accounting environment
Understanding of audit services with knowledge of FASB regulations, GAAS, and GAAP
CPA certification preferred or demonstrated progress toward obtaining certification and actively pursuing completion of the
exams required
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-
time basis upon hire
SKILL REQUIREMENTS

QuickBooks and ProSystems experience is a plus

SUMMARY FOR ASSURANCE MANAGER
As an Assurance Manager, you will work with other members of our assurance practice to develop and sustain excellent client
relationships. Our client’s assurance practice delivers quality audits and other services to privately-owned middle-market companies. Services include internal audit, employee benefit plans, outsourced accounting and contract compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assurance Manager is responsible for providing timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including cording the auditing of all required financial statements, related disclosures and other client deliverables
Review and supervise Assurance staff work on client engagements to ensure firm’s quality control procedures are followed
Collaborate with Senior Managers and Partners in the areas of risk assessment, audit programs, internal audit reports and budgeting
Understand skill sets and capabilities of Assurance Seniors and Assurance staff and monitor and review work product that they prepare and report on performance while articulating notes for improvement throughout the process
Advising client on various economic and regulatory risks resolve complex accounting issues
Ability to apply all areas of GAAP to complex situations, including writing technical memos and inter-office consultation papers and serve as a technical resource with the ability to explain and teach staff
Informs partners of progress on engagements, takes timely action on technical, scheduling and other problems. Brings recommended solutions to partner’s attention for timely action.
Provides training, leadership, recognition and administrative direction to motivate and develop team members
Understands the economics of the firm’s practice and ability to management profitable engagements. Has direct client billing responsibility.
Supports the management with decisions pertaining to policies and procedures and brings that support to the team
Accepts other administrative and supervisory responsibilities, including recruiting and leading professional development conferences, as required
Stays current on technical and regulatory issues
Assist in any other tasks as requested
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
5+ years of experience in a public accounting firm or related experience
Minimum of 2 years of supervising and training experience
CPA certification required

SUMMARY FOR ASSURANCE SENIOR MANAGER
