Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is looking for an AvionX Project Management Specialist to join our team in either Plano, TX or Long Beach, CA.Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including senior and expert level project management specialists.This position will report to the Program Manager responsible for the safe, innovative, and efficient execution of Cabin Systems products under the AvionX Cabin Systems group. This position requires a professional with leadership experience who is familiar with Avionics systems and has a strong understanding of the hardware and software development lifecycle.In addition, the ideal candidate has experience with Control Account Management (CAM), Earned Value Management (EVM), risk management (BORIS), Open Plan Professional (OPP), and scheduling (MS PROJECT), and is familiar with the Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP).This role includes integrated planning and scheduling (IP&S), cost account management (CAM) data collection, database updates, and reporting.Position Responsibilities:

Works closely with PM/DPM/IPT/ENG/Finance, and Industry partners to enter updates to the IP&S and cost account data into the database tracking system

Ensures the database is updated on a weekly basis for reporting

Engages in daily program execution

Identifies and coordinates staffing needs with PM/DPM/IPTs/ENG, as required

Support the process and roles involved with the establishment of program baselines and the management of change to program baselines within the AvionX process

Support Avionics Aircraft Interface Devices under the AvionX, Cabin Systems Products Group

Coordinate overall program execution & performance to plan at Tier 1 level

Coordinate development of detailed WBS and schedule

Maintain budget and Open-plan professional (OPP) schedule performance (EVM)

Manage RIOs at the program level (BORIS)

Establish and drive program execution to maintain baselines

Help drive strategic direction and deliverables

Coordinate development of Executive briefings – communicate program progress up, down, & out

Create communication material and content for organizational reviews

Help develop and maintain relationships between customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams

Coordinate oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes, as well as cost and schedule performance

Help to provide ongoing feedback to organizational leaders

Support the Senior Program Management in the management of Cabin Systems product lines in accordance with Boeing Behaviors and Program Management Best Practices

Implement efficiencies to meet product line cost targets while driving first-time quality

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in business, engineering, computer science, or mathematics

Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)

Experience with program scheduling

3+ years of experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

7+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience with Risk Management and Mitigation (BORIS)

5+ years of experience in Aerospace

An understanding of Avionics Hardware & Software development, design, production, and program management

Experience with development and/or production programs

Experience working on multiple projects/programs of various size and complexity

Demonstrated creative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Previous Experience in Avionics Aircraft Interface Device products

Strong interpersonal skills

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Strong written and oral communication skills

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new software

Knowledge of FAA and other airworthiness regulatory requirements

Requirements Management experience

Strong Continuous Improvement skills and customer focus

Knowledge and/or Experience in Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP)

Experience dealing with software and hardware development projects

Typical Education/Experience:Senior (Level 4):Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).Expert (Level 5):Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.).Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
