Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in the Real Estate & Property industry, based in Irvine, California. This role involves a wide range of tasks and projects, such as exposure to the month-end close cycle, audits, budgeting, and financial analysis. Responsibilities Prepare daily cash entries for multiple entities, including reconciling bank accounts Reconcile and code all cash deposits, including checks, ACH, and wires Maintain accurate records and files, preparing general ledger entries and reconciling accounts Manage the company’s customer deposit reconciliation schedules, including managing insufficient check bounces and writing off balances if customers cancel Prepare revenue entries based on HUD closing statements Prepare monthly schedules on customer deposits for management and external auditors Reconcile various GL accounts monthly Assist in managing the corporate credit card process, including reconciling corporate bank statements and expense reports Actively participate in research and special projects/requests as needed Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management Demonstrated experience with Bank Reconciliations Strong understanding of General Ledger management Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries Experience with Month End Close procedures Familiarity with NetSuite for accounting operations Experience with Oracle financial software Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks Knowledge of SAP for financial management Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software for accounting Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Knowledge of Real Estate & Property industry is a plus Professional certification such as CPA is desirable but not mandatory.
