Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Criminal Defense Attorney to join our team. This will be full time position, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday. The ideal canditate will have had experience working in the criminal field, and to have completed either several Jury Trials or several litigated motions or Preliminary Hearings. However if you are a newer attorney with some experience in Criminal Law, please feel free to apply as well.

Qualifications:

- Actively praticing criminal defense work for at least 2 years.

- Experience in litigated hearings, including trials, motions and Preliminary Hearings.

- Former DA/PD preferred.

- Spanish is a bonus.

- A team player who is open to helping, strategizing, and working with your fellow associates

- Salary: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year, based on experience.

Responsibilities

- As the Criminal Defense Attorney, you will report to the Managing Criminal Defense Attorney

- The Attorney will manage their caseload, as well as client updates, and working with others within the firm as a team.

- You will advise client on their legal rights in matters and draw up legal documents about their case

- You will attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and update clients following each hearing about best strategies

- You will manage court appearances, trial, drafting motions, and performing legal research

- You will analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents

- You will provide legal analysis for clients to determine any possible case benefits of a trial versus a plea bargain.
