Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Auto Body Painter to join our autobody repair team. The auto paint job consists of preparation for continuing painting projects on various cars including SUV’s, trucks, and. The ideal candidate should correctly formulate all refinishing coatings – primer/undercoat, color, and base coat if the instruction is applicable. While most of your duties revolve around the painting itself, you will play a vital role in safely delivering an exceptional finish to paint jobs on vehicles, ensuring they meet industry standards and customer expectations. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
Your expertise in a smooth vehicle surface preparation is crucial for achieving flawless paint jobs. You will be responsible for cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces, ensuring they are smooth and ready for painting.
As an auto body paint technician, you will demonstrate your exceptional color matching skills. Your ability to achieve precise color matching will contribute to the overall aesthetic appeal of the finished product.
Utilizing a variety of prep work and paint application techniques, including spraying, solvents, clear coats, brushing, and rolling. Your skilled application techniques will ensure even and consistent paint coats, polish, enhancing the overall appearance of the vehicle.
Attention to detail is essential in achieving high-quality paint finishes. You will meticulously inspect your work, ensuring that there are no paint defects, such as scratches, chips, or unevenness. Your commitment to detail will result in exceptional outcomes that exceed customer expectations.
Proficient in using paint mixing systems and other paint-related tools. Your familiarity with these tools and equipment will enable you to carry out your tasks effectively and efficiently, ensuring precise paint application and a professional finish.
You will be responsible for repairing paint defects. Your expertise in addressing issues such as scratches, chips, and dents will contribute to the overall quality of the vehicle's paint job. Your attention to detail and repair skills will help restore the vehicle's appearance to its original pristine condition.
Experience/Qualifications:
Color matching: Expertise in accurately matching colors to ensure seamless paint jobs and customer satisfaction.
Spray equipment operation
Refinishing techniques
Surface preparation
Quality control
Custom car or restoration experience
Body shop experience
Experience applying water-based refinish basecoats, 2K refinish clearcoats, and high film build urethane primers and sealers
Experience using polyester fillers to correct and shape body panels
Color sanding experience
Knowledge of high-level surfacing and gaping using block sanding methods
Auto Body Painter 3+ years(preferred)
Drivers License
