Landscape Workers needed in Jurupa Valley

ATWORK is looking for a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team in Jurupa. The ideal candidate must have experience in landscaping, hold a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a background check.

Relevant work experience must be shown on resume.

Driving Record: No more than 1 point.

Assignment Duration: 6 months

Schedule:

Wednesday - Thursday: 7:00am - 3:30pm

Friday - Sunday: 6:00am - 2:30pm

Pay: $23.00 per hour

Essential Functions:

Mow, trim, edge, fertilize, and water lawn areas.

Weed, prune, mulch, feed, fertilize, irrigate, and possibly spray plants, shrubs, and small trees.

Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including hand mowers, edgers, blowers, hedge trimmers, weed eaters, chain saws, rakes, shovels, hoes, brooms, and other maintenance tools.

Operate light duty motorized equipment, such as mowers and edgers, for the maintenance of lawns, street medians, and landscaped areas within public rights-of-way.

Drive pickup trucks, water trucks, and other motorized vehicles and equipment.

Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tools, make minor adjustments and repairs, and report the need for major repairs and maintenance.

Carry out semi-skilled and skilled work in the installation, repair, and maintenance of irrigation systems for parks and landscaped areas, including valves, electronic timing devices, and backflow devices.

Inspect and service irrigation systems to ensure safe and proper operation; install, service, repair, and inspect backflow devices; dig trenches and ditches; perform semi-skilled plumbing maintenance work; plan and sketch layouts for new sprinkler systems; perform semi-skilled electrical maintenance and repairs.

Clean and maintain landscaped areas, paved areas, paths, and walkways; pick up litter, garbage, and organic debris from parks and landscaped areas within public rights-of-way.

Perform various maintenance tasks, including storm drain maintenance during inclement weather and removing graffiti from District-owned facilities within parks and parkways.
