We are looking for energetic and positive Swim Instructors, who want to take on the challenge of teaching the children of our community an essential life skill that may one day save their or someone else's life. Qualifications:
- Aquatic experience and passion working with children
- Thorough knowledge and application of teaching swimming and water safety skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to uphold HealthSPORT mission, values, and building blocks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults
- Ability to work flexible hours (not shifts)
- Ability to use a computer and/or smartphone to access your work schedule, clock-in/clock-out, follow through checklists, and reply in a timely manner to work related emails and/or messages.
- Maintain current CPR/AED Certification – adult/infant/child
Reports to: Pool Programs Coordinator
Position Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt (schedule may include weekends, evenings, and Holidays)
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain a safe, effective, nurturing, and engaging environment.
- Responsible for the proper instruction of all swim lessons.
- Be prepared, on time, and ready to work
- Be a customer service representative in the pool area.
- Follow HealthSPORT’s swim lesson programming and communication procedures
- Establishes positive public relations with parents/guardians of class students helping them recognize and understand swimming developments and achievements.
- Complete Activity Report when your lessons are complete.
- Enforce pool safety standards and facility operational rules for all individuals using the facilities
- Present professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Communicate diligently and effectively with students, parents, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties if assigned.
