- Gymnastics background, either as a participant or as an instructor is a plus.
- Able to show high enthusiasm and be capable of demonstrating good judgment and problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to communicate with co-workers, members, and guests professionally.
- Ability to establish rapport with participants and their parents.
- Customer Service oriented.
- Enthusiastic, dependable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to answer the phone with proper greeting and tone.
- Able to maintain current CPR/AED certification.
- Previous leadership, and/or team experience is preferred.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead gymnastics classes and events.
- Be aware of weekly lesson plan items and come to class prepared to instruct.
- Work on developing program curriculum for gymnastics classes.
- Work on retention of youths participating in the program.
- Work special events (i.e. performances, demonstrations)
- Keep all equipment clean, sanitized, tidy, and organized.
Reports to: Gymnastics Director
Additional Job Functions:
- Learn proper emergency procedures and follow them as necessary.
- Responsible for being courteous and exercising tact and diplomacy at all times.
- Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene.
- Perform specific housekeeping duties as outlined on the Daily Checklist.
- Learn about and keep current on all available programs and/or activities.
- Help market our activities to members and the community.
- Attend Staff meetings as needed.
- Perform additional assignments as delegated by your immediate supervisor
Position Status:Non-Exempt, Part-Time with opportunity to become part-time (Schedule may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)
