Humane’s Critters Without Litters is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician who is

passionate about providing high-quality care for the cats and dogs in our community. We offer

Critters Without Litters is a nonprofit high-quality, high-volume spay and neuter clinic in

Humboldt County, dedicated to providing affordable spay and neuter services to prevent

unwanted litters. Our friendly and compassionate staff treat all animals that come into our clinic

as if they were their own.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Intubate, medicate, and prep animals for surgery

Assist veterinarians during spay and neuter surgeries and other medical procedures

Prepare surgical equipment and ensure a sterile environment

Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian

Monitor and care for animals before, during, and after surgery

Educate clients on post-operative care and answer their questions

Perform blood draws and laboratory tests

Maintain accurate medical records and patient files

Maintain daily, weekly, monthly controlled substance drug log

Provide exceptional customer service and assist with client check-ins and check-outs as

needed

Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic

Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure the highest standard of care

Participate in continuing education to stay up-to-date with industry advancements

Qualifications:

Registered Vet Tech (RVT) certification

Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compassion, patience, and empathy towards animals and clients

Ability to lift 50 pounds
