Hours will shorten in October and be aimed more at filling in shifts.
Must pass FBI/DOJ background check for $85 which is non-reimbursable at the Arcata Police Department.
On the search for someone with a good foundation for coding and who understands the changing landscape of development and the utilization of AI.
Prefer a developer who learned the foundations of coding before the generative AI boom and has practice in AI code development. Not required, but touches on our need for someone who can follow and adapt quickly to established hybrid vibe coding standard operating procedures.
Seeking familiarity with serverless architecture or strong foundation in back end principle.
Must know JavaScript or have enough experience where transitioning from one coding language to the next would have minimal impact on development.
This is an in-person position with the requirement of a drivers license, vehicle, a background check (can in some instances take more than a month to secure, sometimes two), and a passion for accessibility and working with people who have or have had a disability.
You would be working directly with and reporting to the lead engineer and the organization founder of Humboldt Friends.
The development is of a local centric social networking site; aimed at serving our community through centralized human and social services spotlighting, introducing our community to one another through social interactions, local events, platonic pairing for penpals and buddywalks, and has increased personal safety and accessibility at the forefront of its design.
