PART-TIME JOB OPPORTUNITY
Lost Coast Brewery has an immediate opening for a part-time (20-25 hours per week) Facilities Maintenance Custodian to perform a full range of janitorial and light-maintenance duties at our brewing facility. Tasks will include care, cleaning and upkeep of equipment, building, work spaces, common areas, and grounds.
The perfect candidate will be a positive, self-starter who isn’t afraid to work hard and get dirty. You’ll need a good sense of humor and the ability to work will with others and on your own.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
1. Cleans brewery and manufacturing surfaces; equipment; various common areas; restrooms; break room, event room and other spaces.
2. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors and stairs by hand or machine. Cleans carpets.
3. Cleans and removes stains from a variety of surfaces by use of chemicals and cleaning solutions.
4. Cleans, disinfects and deodorizes restrooms, including toilets, urinals, basins, floors, mirrors and other surfaces.
5. Ensures each restroom has adequate supplies at all times.
6. Washes windows, walls and ceilings.
7. Moves equipment and furniture.
8. Collects and disposes of trash and recyclables. Replaces liners in receptacles.
9. Assists in keeping outside premises in clean, safe and orderly condition.
10. Provides maintenance and minor repairs (i.e. changing light fixtures, painting).
11. Maintains adequate inventory of cleaning supplies.
12. Keeps janitor closets clean and orderly.
13. Maintain various tools, supplies and equipment in good working order.
14. Uses step stools and ladders.
15. Lifts up to 50 pounds
This position requires knowledge of:
Proper safety techniques and procedures for cleaning in an industrial manufacturing environment;
Cleaning compounds, equipment, custodial equipment, and basic tools utilized in building maintenance;
Basic maintenance and repair work; and ability to use hand tools
Education and experience:
Graduation from high school or equivalent.
Two years of hands-on janitorial experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
