CTE Teacher (Temporary) - Health Science and Medical Technology (Temporary through 6/30/26)
Career and College Department, Franklin Site,
17.5 hrs PER WEEK (.50 FTE), position works the same weeks as the school calendar, which ends 6/9/25 for the 24-25 school year.
Grant-funded position through 6/30/26. Continuation beyond that date contingent on need and funding.

Position Summary:
The Career Technical Education (CTE) Teacher shall report directly to the designated program administrator and assume responsibility to plan, implement, and provide academic and skills training to students in a particular field of expertise as outlined in the course curriculum. The CTE Teacher is responsible for carrying out a career technical education program based on the California CTE Model Curriculum Standards that prepares students for high-skill, high-wage careers aligned with post-secondary education and consistent with regional workforce needs. The CTE teacher facilitates work-based learning and increases employment opportunities by serving as an active liaison between employers and the classroom.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: -Three (3) years of experience working in the associated CTE industry sector (minimum 3,000 hours in the last ten (10) years, with at least 1,000 hours being within the last five (5) years); -Possess and maintain a valid Designated Subjects Career Technical Education teaching credential in the industry sector of the teaching assignment OR the ability to qualify for a Designated Subjects Career Technical Education teaching credential in the assigned industry sector (details can be found here: Commission Leaflet CL-888); -Certificate of Clearance by Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Preferred Qualifications: -Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree. -Experience working with high school age youth. At this stage, unofficial transcripts are acceptable. If offered the position, official transcripts will be required for placement.
