The Acute and Forensics Section Manager oversees and manages staff working in several of the Department of Health Services crisis, acute care, and justice-related programs within the Behavioral Health Division. They provide clinical consultation to the treatment team regarding complex treatment issues and oversee the utilization of psychiatric hospitals, crisis residential and stabilization. The programs and teams included are:

Crisis Stabilization Unit

Mobile Support Team

Hospital Liaison Team

Transportation Team

Forensic Assertive Community Treatment Team

Transitional Recovery Team

Justice Mental Health Collaboration Program

Mental Health Diversion

The Acute and Forensics Section Manager is an integral position that supervises and manages critical services in the Behavioral Health Division. Additional duties of the Section Manager will include:

Developing and implementing programs within the Section

Collaborating and planning with the division leadership team for division-wide needs

Administering, implementing, tracking, and monitoring grants

Working closely with the community and County partners to create shared understandings of workflows and collaboration

Creating and updating policies and procedures

Advocating for resources for treatment teams with the Department of Health Services administration

Developing and leading presentations for community organizations, boards, and/or commissions, and the department

Facilitating stakeholder meetings

Developing and managing contracts
