Assistant Teaching position open @ Teacher's Pet Preschool and Afterschool Program. Come join the staff of a high quality, long standing program that has been running since 1980. Stop by and view our beautiful "dream" building which we had built for young children, with 3 classrooms and 2 large grassy playgrounds. It sits right next to St Joseph's Hospital. We are looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm and a genuine desire to work with young children. Come share your ideas and dreams with us in regards to the care and education of young children. (Are you still enrolled in college courses? We are willing to work around college course schedules). Qualifications desired are someone with @ least 12 units of ECE courses to include the 3 core classes, as well as some experience. (Child Development majors with 6 units of ECE will be considered, as well as someone just beginning the career path in Child Development. ) Applicant must be able to pass the fingerprint clearance and provide up to date immunization records.
This position will involve working with 2 to 5 year old children, as well as possibly working with children 5 to 10 years old in our Afterschool Program ( All under the direction and guidance of the Head Teachers). The position open is a full time Monday through Friday position, although we are willing to work around the schedule needs of the desired applicant.
