We are looking for full-time and part-time members to join our farm crew! Check out our website to learn more about our certified organic farm at www.fogdogfarm.com

-FULL-TIME: 40 hrs/week, 8 hrs/day. Monday-Friday. Start and end time shifts based on the season, 8-4:30 in spring and fall seasons and 7-3:30 in summer.

-PART-TIME: 16-24 hrs/week, 8 hrs/day. Preference is for Monday, Tuesday & Thursday availability but some flexibility available. Start and end time shifts based on the season, 8-4:30 in spring and fall seasons and 7-3:30 in summer.

-Starting wage is $18-$19 depending on experience

-Guaranteed minimum 50 cent wage increases every six months

-Positions begins in early May and goes through mid-December. Must be able to commit to the full season. Opportunity for winter hours is planned on an individual basis

-40 hours of paid sick leave after your first 30 days of employment

-16 hours paid vacation during the season for full-time employees

-Gear stipend of $100 for all employees

-Generous access to all veggies and flowers we grow on the farm

-Employees who return for additional seasons will receive pay raises and increased responsibility in specific areas of the farm based on their skills and interest

The majority of the farm crew's work will be harvesting, washing and packing produce 3 days a week. Greenhouse work, weeding, transplanting, crop care and maintenance make up the rest. First year full-time employees should expect to work in all of these facets of the farm for the season, with more specialization if you return for additional seasons. Part-time employees will primarily work in harvest and wash/pack.

We are looking for people who are motivated by production farming, have a dedicated interest in agriculture, and love working outdoors. This job requires working outside in our hot summers and cold and wet winters, heavy lifting, repetitive tasks, standing, crouching and bending on a daily basis. Your success is dependent on your ability to move quickly and efficiently. You should be self-motivated, find the farm work and lifestyle rewarding, and have a desire to build mastery in farm skills. We strive to have a friendly, fun and collaborative workplace and value employee engagement and problem solving. Good communication skills are key when working with a large crew, and a positive attitude goes a long way towards having a great season. Prior experience in agriculture or other outdoor work is a bonus, but not a requirement.

While we hire seasonally for first year crew members, we are dedicated to growth opportunities for excellent employees and are looking for candidates who may be interested in permanent employment. These decisions are made in late fall.

If you would like to apply, please e-mail your resume and two references and follow this link to fill out our questionnaire. No incomplete applications will be accepted. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled. If you are a qualified candidate, we will e-mail to set up a phone interview followed by a paid working interview on the farm.
