The Imperial Hotel & Restarurant is seeking an experienced Craft Cocktail Bartender to help us realize our vision and make the Imperial Hotel a premier boutique hotel in the Sierra Foothills.

Craft Cocktail Bartenders will work alongside the hotel’s Bar Manager to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly, create an inclusive and progressive hospitality space, assist in leading front of house staff, and spearhead a creative beverage program.
Here’s a rough breakdown of the position’s primary responsibilities:
● Friendly, genuine, and warm service to guests and coworkers alike.
● Willingness to learn and adhere to alcohol service protocols - all beverage mixing and pouring, serving and handling. (Must be 21+.)
● Develop all prep item recipes, execute, and serve all beverages to the highest possible standards each day – This includes ensuring cocktail quality is upheld by all members of the bar team.
● Train new bartenders and enforce best practices.
● Ensure proactive maintenance of kitchen and bar equipment and of all F&B areas. Implement cleaning schedules with staff.
● Foster a harmonious working environment between front and back of house staff.
● Educate front of house staff on all menu changes and adjustments.
● Be punctual, reliable, and a supportive member of our team.
● Must be available on Saturday and Sunday, plus holidays.
● Various other tasks - We have a small crew and lots of moving parts. The Bar Manager may occasionally assign other tasks outside of your immediate purview.
Ideal qualifications include:
● Craft Cocktail and volume experience
● Personability, flexibility, and dependability.
● Hospitality instincts and personable service
● Willing to learn and be developed in cost analysis: labor, beverage, scheduling, etc. from Bar Manager
● Team management, support, and leadership skills.
● Experience with cocktail creation and knowledge of crafting a menu.
● Adaptability to a dynamic and evolving work environment.
● Solid communication skills.
● Ability to identify what needs to get done, and to get it done (problem solver).
Compensation is hourly + pooled tips, accrued sick leave, and optional 401K.
This Bartending position is part-time in Amador City a wonderful place to live and work. The “smallest city in California” is located in the motherlode foothills of the Sierra Nevada. The location is ideal for outdoor exploration, bike riding, and wine tasting; and our local community is progressive, artistic, and active.
