Job Summary:
As a Part-Time Event Staff at Pasta & Press, you will support our off-site and special event culinary operations by preparing, packing, and executing catering orders with precision and care. This role requires adaptability, efficiency, and pride in presenting our handmade pasta and seasonal dishes outside the traditional kitchen setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare catering items according to Pasta & Press recipes and quality standards
Execute bulk prep, portioning, and packaging for off-site service
Assist with packing, setup, and teardown for catering events and pop-ups
Maintain a clean and organized catering prep area, following health and safety standards
Ensure proper storage and labeling of food for transport
Communicate effectively with the kitchen and events team to meet timelines
Operate kitchen and transport equipment safely and efficiently
Represent the Pasta & Press brand with professionalism at off-site functions
Qualifications & Skills:
1+ years of cooking experience in catering, banquets, or a fast-paced kitchen preferred
Strong understanding of prep, batch cooking, and food transport logistics
Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistent quality
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekends and event-based shifts
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
Comfortable working in a high-energy environment with strict timelines
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, including loading/unloading equipment and supplies
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 30 per week
