Our customers use our tools to push the boundaries of technology and physics to deliver better products in the increasingly complex world of chip, board, and system design.We are looking for a highly motivated software engineer to work in the Resolution Enhancement Technology (RET) team, specifically with Inverse Lithography Technology (ILT) team members, in the Siemens Calibre business unit. The position requires a broad background in mathematics, particularly computational geometry, numerical optimization, and mathematical modeling. You will be responsible for designing, developing, debugging, and otherwise supporting the Calibre core software mostly requiring deep familiarity with back-end C, but also Tcl, Matlab, and other scripting languages. You will be teaming up with a senior group of software engineers contributing to final production level quality of new components and algorithms and to support existing components. If you don’t already have experience in semiconductor manufacturing or computational lithography, this could be an exciting opportunity to learn leading edge technology and work on industry leading software.Job QualificationsThe successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience Advanced degree in engineering, computer-science, physics or mathematics, preferably with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Excellent architectural, programming, and debugging skills in C and C on Linux platforms. Experience in OPC / RET / ILT is preferred but not required. Experience with computational geometry is preferred but not required. Experience with image processing, especially optimization techniques for image enhancement is preferred but not required. Strong ability to learn and explore new technologies. Good analysis and problem-solving skills. Ability to work interactively, collegially, and productively in a team-centric environment. Experience with GPU or other high-performance-computing is a plus. Experience with machine learning is a plus.This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.Siemens Software. Transform the EverydayThe salary range for this position is $101,200 to $182,200 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
