Join Gilead and help create possible, together. The Opportunity:We are seeking an Associate Director, Executive Recruiting within the Global Talent Acquisition (TA) team to recruit for all Executive level positions (VP and above) within Gilead Sciences and Kite. Reporting to the Sr. Director – Global Executive Recruiting Head, the successful individual will be responsible for the comprehensive end-to-end executive search process and serve as a TA partner to Gilead’s Sr. business hiring leaders. This is an opportunity to be part of a historically significant company that is making a difference to the lives of millions of people around the world. In this role, you will develop executive recruiting strategies that ensure the attraction of top executive talent with an emphasis on diverse talent, as well as driving process excellence, continuity, consistency, and recruiting best practices.The Role:This role is located in Foster City, CA onsite at our global headquarters.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Integral member of the Executive Search COE within Global talent Acquisition team.

Responsible for managing full life cycle recruiting efforts for a substantial volume of Executive requisitions across multiple functional areas and global markets concurrently, while providing best-in-class candidate experience.

Proven ability to track, analyze, and report on executive-level talent trends and global talent movement.

Skilled in leveraging a diverse array of sourcing platforms, including LinkedIn Recruiter, CRMs, resume databases, professional networks, and associations to identify and engage high-quality talent—actively connecting with both passive and active candidates.

Create and drive executive talent pipelines with an emphasis on top diverse talent in partnership with the Inclusion & Diversity COE and Talent Communities team, Sourcing, HR and business stakeholders.

Manage timelines and competing priorities across pipelining projects, assessing business risks and balancing priorities to ensure effective delivery.

Collaborate closely with hiring leaders to align on job specifications and provide subject matter expertise on talent in a competitive landscape.

Partner closely with Senior HRBPs and business leaders to manage the executive recruitment process, talent pipelining and succession planning strategies as a trusted adviser.

Deliver transparent, timely feedback and communication to candidates, creating a positive, inclusive experience that aligns with Gilead’s Employer Value Proposition. Prioritize cultural sensitivity and accommodate individual needs, such as flexible interview scheduling and accessibility adjustments.

Conduct regular check-ins with hiring leaders to provide progress updates, present qualified candidates, facilitate debriefs, and manage the offer process.

Partner with the Talent Acquisition Specialist on requisition logistics and enterprise projects.

Collaborate with the broader TA teams and HR colleagues in Total Rewards, Talent Development, etc. to drive innovation.

Manage existing preferred partners while identifying prospects for future collaboration.

Accountable for meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to recruiting efficiency and quality, and adept in utilizing tech tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Yello, and Rooster to ensure speedy, efficient hiring that enhances candidate satisfaction while reducing time-to-fill.

Basic Qualifications

12+ Years OR BA/BS Degree with 10+ Years or MA/MS Degree with 8+ years of experience in recruiting in biopharmaceutical industry Healthcare/ Medical Device or Biopharmaceutical related industry with 5+ in-house and/or search firm experience recruiting for companies in the life sciences sector.

Experience successfully recruiting executive talent, preferably in the life sciences, with demonstrated results working in a highly matrixed environment.

Direct knowledge of HR functional disciplines, e.g., employee relations, full cycle recruiting, compensation / benefits, Immigration, relocation, applicant tracking, OFCCP (Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs), Reporting, Presentation, Sourcing, Market Analytics.

Excellent understanding of the external executive talent landscape.

Ability to quickly establish credibility with diverse audiences and deliver results.

Robust collaboration and problem-solving mindset, and a history of successfully influencing partners whilst maintaining respectful and trusted relationships.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and strong project management skills.

Able to exercise judgement and independently resolve and take appropriate action where precedent may not exist.

Must be willing to work onsite at a Gilead Office 3 days a week (Tues, Wed, Thurs) unless the successful candidate is categorized as remote. At this time this is not offered as a remote role.

The salary range for this position is: $182,070.00 - $235,620.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
