This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for the construction industry and a knack for numbers to contribute to our success and growth.Job Description:As an Accounting and Project Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial records, including accounts payable, billing, accounting, accounts receivable, as well as assisting with contracts, lien releases, and overall project support. This position requires a proactive approach, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
Assist with billing processes, preparing detailed financial statements and reports.
Support contract management, including preparation, review, and modification of contracts.
Facilitate the release of liens, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
Provide project support, coordinating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure financial and operational alignment.
Maintain accurate financial records and perform regular reconciliations.
Utilize Sage 300 (or similar software) for financial management and reporting.
Collaborate with the finance and project teams to identify and implement process improvements.
Requirements
Proven experience in construction accounting or a related field.
Proficiency in Sage 300 or similar construction accounting software is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of the construction industry, including standard practices, contracts, and lien processes.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Relevant educational background, such as a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
