This is an exceptional opportunity to showcase your marketing expertise and make a significant impact on our global in person and digital events.As a Senior Event Manager, your main responsibility will be to plan, organize, and carry out successful events that promote our brand and, connect with important individuals and enhance our marketing pipeline. Your ability to think creatively and pay attention to small details will be vital in guaranteeing that our events are top-notch and leave a memorable impact on attendees. You will collaborate closely with teams from different departments to establish event goals, create strategies, and put them into action. This role offers a chance to oversee various types of events, including tradeshows, conferences, customer appreciation events, and digital events.Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive in person and digital event strategy aligned with MSD’s marketing objectives, lead generation goals and customer needs.

Manage end-to-end event planning and execution, ensuring detailed logistics and exceptional attendee experiences.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop event objectives, content, and messaging that align with marketing objectives.

Lead all aspects of event budgets, contract negotiation, and strictly adhere to financial and quality guidelines.

Drive event promotion and marketing initiatives across various platforms, both digital and traditional, to ensure strong event attendance.

Work closely with the Business Units to develop lead generation strategies and optimize lead generation processes for events including timely submission and reporting of post event lead tactics.

Measure, report and analyze event data and feedback to continuously improve marketing pipeline and implement changes for future events.

Educational Qualifications:

Degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience with event and/or project management.

Certified Trade Show Management (CTSM) and/or Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) certification preferred.

Experience Qualifications:

5+ years of Marketing Communications and/or Event Management experience in a business-to-business environment, preferably for a U.S. based company.

Industrial Market experience preferred.

Scientific capital equipment experience preferred.

Skill Requirements:

Demonstrated expertise in planning and organizing events, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale gatherings and digital events.

Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, be flexible and meet deadlines.

Proficient in lead generation and lead collection strategies.

Excellent understanding of contracts and excel at contract negotiation.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required, up to 30%.

Able to lift and move at least 15-20lbs.
