From Boysenberry Festival to Peanuts Celebration, Merry Farm to Scary Farm, Knott’s is looking for talented individuals with theatrical, theme park, and concert experience in FX development, fabrication and installation to join our Entertainment Production Leadership Team.Responsibilities:
Lead a team of various skill levels through fabrication and installation of mechanical, pnuematic, and electric special effects elements.
Ability to translate plans and designers concepts into practical materials and existing mechanical components (bearings, motors, air cylinders etc.)
Design, Layout, and lead the fabrication of moving structures using pneumatic and electrical components.
Install, clean, repair, strike, and maintain special effects sytems and projects systems throughout the park.
Work closely with Technical Directors in procurement and implementation of designs, while maintaining adequate shop inventory of tools and expendables.
Create, maintain, and train staff in department and industry procedures and practices.
Keep a clean and organized workspace in the shop and on the jobsite.
Operate electric carts, forklifts, mast lifts, scissor lifts and articulating boom lifts.
Work with applicants, employees, contractors, vendors and guests in a positive, productive and professional manner.
Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.

Qualifications:EducationAssociate's Degree (2 year College or Tech School) Technical theater or relatedExperience2 ‑ 4 Years Related Experience Theatrical, Production, Live E ntertainment Fabrication, and LeadershipMinimum AgeAt Least 18 Years of AgeQualifications:
Experience in leadership, problem solving, conflict resolution, and organization.
Proficient in reading, understainding, implementing Blueprints, Drawings, Schematics.
Proficient with pnuematic and electronic actuators and DC/AC motors.
Proficient with electronic systems including timers, programmable logic controllers, digital control elements and show control systems.
Proficiency at welding (MIG & TIG).
Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV,
previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
