Description Robert Half is working with is a reputable Logistics company dedicated to providing exceptional logistics solutions that drives resilience, efficiency, improves quality, and creates a competitive advantage They are the world’s leading logistics provider. tHEY are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import Coordinator to join their dynamic team.Job Overview: The Import Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and managing the import processes for our company. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate importation of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of international trade regulations.Key Responsibilities:Import Management:

Coordinate and oversee the entire import process from order placement to delivery.

Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations and company policies.

Manage and track shipments, ensuring timely arrival and delivery of goods.

Supplier and Freight Forwarder Coordination:

Communicate with suppliers and freight forwarders to confirm shipping schedules and resolve any issues.

Negotiate shipping terms and rates to optimize cost efficiency.

Documentation and Compliance:

Prepare and review import documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin.

Ensure accurate completion of customs documentation and compliance with customs regulations.

Handle and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to import documentation.

Customs and Regulatory Compliance:

Stay updated on changes in import regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.

Work closely with customs brokers to facilitate smooth customs clearance and address any compliance issues.

Internal Coordination:

Collaborate with internal departments such as procurement, logistics, and finance to ensure alignment and address any import-related concerns.

Provide regular updates on import status and potential delays to relevant stakeholders.

Problem Resolution:

Address and resolve any import-related issues or delays promptly.

Implement and monitor procedures to prevent future issues and improve the efficiency of the import process.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field.

Proven experience in import coordination, logistics, or a similar role.

Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in import/export software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
