ENTRY LEVEL HIRING - 1st and 2nd Shift Shipping Clerk - $18-19/HRJob Description
A distribution company that manufactures automotive parts is seeking a long-term shipping clerk/warehouse worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, packaging items for shipment, and using order pickers and RF scanners to fulfill orders.
You will also assist Warehouse Supervisors as needed and be involved in picking orders utilizing stairs to reach materials for the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
Load and unload materials from trucks
Break down boxes and package items for shipment
Use order pickers and RF scanners to fulfill orders
Assist Warehouse Supervisors as needed
Package items for shipment
Pick orders utilizing stairs to reach material for the automotive industry
Essential Skills
Experience with RF scanners
Proficiency in packing and packaging
Ability to use a pallet jack
Experience in loading and unloading
Order picking experience
Inventory management skills
Shipping and receiving knowledge
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
Comfortable utilizing a rolling safety ladder (5-7 steps) and occasionally a 15 ft stair ladder for shipping
Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English
Capability to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms
Occasional requirement to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or squat

Work Environment
The work environment is usually loud due to forklift operations. The receiving shift runs from 5am to 1:30pm, Monday to Friday, with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays.
The shipping shift operates from 5:30am to 2pm, Monday to Friday, with the same overtime requirements.
Employees must wear plain shirts, jeans without holes, and closed-toed shoes. Logos for beer, alcohol, etc., are not permitted.
