Job Title: Sr Specialist, Systems Engineering Job Code: 11348 Job Location: Anaheim, CA or Cape Canaveral, FL Schedule: 4/10, M-T Job Description : The Senior Specialist, Systems Engineer is an intermediate professional with practical knowledge of job area. Works under general supervision to set objectives for own job area. Communicates with contacts inside and outside own team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. Identifies and addresses changes within own job area. Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results. Work consists of making moderate enhancements or improvements to systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area. Problems are typically solved drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issues. Essential Functions:
Generation of functional block diagrams, use-case diagrams, cabling diagrams.
Generation of Engineering Change Orders
Conduct of trade studies
Generation of requirements specifications
Interfacing with the other engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, etc.) to insure proper coordination of the systems aspects of the project.
Integration and test planning, including generation of plans and procedures.
Creation and presentation of design review materials
Manage and coordinate system interfaces with other connected systems
Verification of system interfaces
Perform system test activities including test planning, test conduct and test reporting
Provide mentoring to less experienced RF Engineers
Knowledge of Telemetry Systems, Test Missile Kit, and SSBN operations
Experience with testing of RF systems in lab and on-site.
Must have the ability to travel.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Must have a Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated initiative, drive, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of EMI and EMC Mil-Standards

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $102,000 - $190,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
