Job Title: Specialist, Systems Engineering Job Code: 11119 Job Location: Anaheim, CA – (Responsibilities must be performed on-site.) Job Schedule: 4/10 Work Schedule – (Monday thru Thursday) Job Description: The Specialist, Systems Engineer is an intermediate professional with practical knowledge of job area. Works under general supervision to set objectives for own job area. Communicates with contacts inside and outside own team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. Identifies and addresses changes within own job area. Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results. Work consists of making moderate enhancements or improvements to systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area. Problems are typically solved drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issues. Essential Functions:

Generation of functional block diagrams, use-case diagrams, cabling diagrams.

Generation of Engineering Change Orders

Conduct of trade studies

Generation of requirements specifications

Support digital engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

Interfacing with the other engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, etc.) to insure proper coordination of the systems aspects of the project.

Integration and test planning, including generation of plans and procedures.

Creation and presentation of design review materials

Manage and coordinate system interfaces with other connected systems.

Verification of system interfaces

Perform system test activities including test planning, test conduct and test reporting.

Provide mentoring to less experienced Systems Engineers

Serve as technical lead for mid-size projects.

Must have the ability to travel.

Job Qualification Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.

Must have 3+ years of direct Engineering experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Demonstrated initiative, drive, and interpersonal skills.

Experience with DOORS requirements management software.

Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
