Medical Scheduler

Description We are currently seeking a highly organized, dependable and detail-oriented Medical Scheduler for a healthcare clinic local to Oakland. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling appointments for patients, updating patient records, and managing patient flow through the medical office. This role plays a vital part in managing the smooth operation of our medical facility, ensuring that every patient receives high-quality, timely care.Responsibilities:· Maintain our patient's appointment schedule, making adjustments as necessary for emergency appointments or cancellations.· Follow up closely on appointments with patients and remind them in case of upcoming appointments.· Input the necessary patient data into our database and keep patient accounts up-to-date.· Liaise with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and prompt services.· Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries about appointments, procedures, and other scheduling-related concerns.· Assign patients to appropriate medical staffs based on their medical needs and practitioner availability.· Handle confidential patient information in accordance with healthcare laws and regulations.Requirements · High School Diploma or equivalent.· Proven experience as a medical scheduler or a similar position in a medical setting.· Knowledge of medical terminology, medical office procedures and diagnosis codes.· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.· Proficiency in MS office and medical software programs.· Strong organizational and multitasking skills.· Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.· Exceptional customer service skills.· Outstanding ability to maintain accurate patient records.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
