Responsibilities
> Plan, layout and oversee the installation of water, sewer, storm drain and other underground utilities.
> Supervise and coordinate daily activities of crew.
> Clearly communicate with crew members to ensure safety, teamwork and completion of daily goals.
> Enforce safety policies and procedure and conduct daily safety meeting.
> Maintain accurate daily reports, crew timesheets and production quantities.
> Monitor and adjust crew assignments to optimize efficiency and productivity.
> Ensure compliance with project specifications, plans and safety requirements.
> Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, cut sheets and survey date.
> Coordinate with superintendent, project manager, subcontractors and inspectors.
> Operate equipment as needed and assist with hands-on work.
> Lead by example, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
> Minimum 5 years of underground utility experience, with at least 2 years in supervisory or foreman role.
> Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
> Valid driver's license.
> Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
> Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, trench safety and confined spaces.
> Have 30 hour OSHA
> Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
> Maintain clean tools, equipment, materials and work space.
> Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs and survey layouts.
> Proficient in using grade checking tools.
> Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
